Interested in joining HOPE Co-Op?
We love hearing from potential new members. But before you join, it’s worth learning more about what it means to be a HOPE Co-Op member.
We are a co-operative, which means that in return for the benefits of being a member you would be expected to make an active contribution to the life of Hope Co-Op, either by paying a membership fee or by contributing some time or resources. Your contribution can change, depending on your circumstances.
There are two types on memberships:-
Full membership is for people who have lived experience of seeking asylum; who are on (or have been on) a BVE/BVA/TPV or SHEV visa; who are secondary or tertiary students, or who have completed a secondary or tertiary course in Australia.
Partner membership is for people who have an interest and some experience in cross-cultural organisations, and ideally who have some knowledge of asylum-seeker policy and barriers to education and employment.
How to apply for membership. Email us at members@hopecoop.org.au with some contact details and we’ll arrange a time for you to meet with us. If there is a community dinner coming up, we’ll invite you so you can get to know us a little, ask any questions and decide whether you want to commit to being an active member. We look forward to hearing from you.
